Welcome to EDUCON2022

The University of Namibia is hosting its Annual Education Conference (EDUCON) under the theme, Re-Imagining Education: A Discourse on resilience, adaptability, inclusivity, and quality from 24-28 October 2022. The conference will provide an excellent platform for interesting and stimulating presentations and discussions on topical issues that address the conference theme and focus areas. It also provides a platform for networking and strengthening collaboration between academic researchers and the various sectors.

General guidelines

  1. Your article must not exceed 3000-3500 words, excluding references.
  2. Kindly take note that your article’s similarity rate in Turn-It-In should not exceed 20%. Attach your plagiarism report with the submission.
  3. Due date: 12 January 2023
  4. Title: The article’s full title should contain a maximum of 95 characters (including spaces) or not more than 15 words.
  5. Abstract: The abstract should not be longer than 250 words and must be written in the past tense. The abstract should give a succinct account of the objectives/questions, methods, results, and significance of the matter. Do not cite references or use abbreviations in the abstract.
  6. Introduction: The introduction must contain your argument for the social or scientific value of the study, and the aims, objectives, or questions. For social science research, it is important to describe the underlying theoretical basis and how it links with the conceptual framework.
  7. Research methods and design

Outline the type of design, study population, sampling and sampling strategy, data collection, data analysis, and ethical considerations.

  1. Results: Present the results of your study in a logical sequence that addresses the aim, hypotheses, objectives, or questions of the study. Use tables or figures as required to present the findings. Use quotations as required to establish the interpretation of qualitative data.
  2. Discussion: The discussion section should address the following sections:
  • Key findings
  • Discussion of key findings supported by related literature
  • Strengths and limitations
  • Implications
  1. Conclusion: Provide a brief conclusion that summarises the results and their meaning or significance about the hypothesis, objective/s, or question/s of the study.
  2. Any other

Acknowledgments: Recognise those who have contributed to the study but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

A registration fee of N$ 800.00 for all participants is payable on/ or before 07 September 2022.

The conference will be hosted at the Southern Campus of the University of Namibia, Keetmanshoop, Namibia.
